Who We Are

NØLA FILTERS is an early-stage research project from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU). We are developing on-demand coffee decaffeination technology that preserves taste. We are not yet a registered company or legal entity.

What Information We Collect

When you sign up for early access or our newsletter, we collect:

  • Your name or business name
  • Your email address
  • Your role/type (investor, coffee shop, roastery, distributor, or other)
  • The date and time you signed up

How We Use Your Information

We use your information solely to:

  • Keep you updated on our technology development and progress
  • Send you newsletters about our research project
  • Notify you when we're ready to launch or seek partnerships
  • Respond to any inquiries you may have

We will never sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their marketing purposes.

Where We Store Your Data

Your contact information is stored securely with Brevo (formerly Sendinblue), a GDPR-compliant email service provider with servers located in the European Union. Brevo processes data in accordance with EU data protection laws.

Your Rights

Under GDPR and Danish data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access: Request a copy of your personal data
  • Correction: Request corrections to your information
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data at any time
  • Unsubscribe: Opt out of all communications via the unsubscribe link in any email
  • Data portability: Request your data in a machine-readable format

Data Retention

We will retain your contact information until you unsubscribe or request deletion. If you haven't engaged with our communications for 24 months, we may reach out to confirm you still want to receive updates before removing you from our list.

Cookies and Tracking

Our website currently does not use cookies or tracking technologies beyond basic web server logs necessary for site functionality and security.

Changes to This Notice

As we develop from a research project into a company, we may update this privacy notice. We will notify subscribers of any significant changes via email.
